It started with one bad photograph

In 2019 our founder tried to order a crystal keepsake of his grandfather from one of the well-known engraving sites. What arrived was a flat grey smudge, printed behind glass, in a block that had clearly been nobody's responsibility. The photograph on the website and the thing in the box had almost nothing to do with each other.

So we bought a laser, rented 400 square feet behind a print shop, and spent fourteen months working out how to make the proof on the screen match the object on the shelf. That is still the only metric we care about.

The workshop

Everything is engraved and polished in one building. We do not dropship, we do not outsource the proofing, and the person who checks your crystal signs off under their own initials. Eleven people work here; six of them touch your order.

What we will not do

• We will not engrave a photo we believe will come out badly. We will ask for another one first, even though that costs us a sale.
• We will not print “handmade” on a product that was assembled from a catalogue.
• We will not use acrylic and call it crystal.
• We will not keep a customer's photograph longer than we need it. Files are deleted ninety days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them for a reorder.
