From photo to forever

The Engraving Process

Five steps, one promise: you approve every detail before a single laser pulse. Here’s exactly what happens to your photo.

Day 0

1. You Upload Your Photo

Choose any photo from your phone, camera or a scanned print. JPEGs and PNGs up to 20MB are ideal — and if the original is faded or low-resolution, don’t worry; enhancement comes free in step two. You can also order now and email the photo later.

Day 1

2. Our Artists Convert It to 3D

A human artist — not just software — restores your photo first: sharpening detail, balancing light, removing backgrounds and photobombers. Then they build a depth map that decides how far every feature sits inside the crystal. Faces come forward; scenery recedes; the composition breathes.

Day 1–2

3. You Approve Your Free 3D Proof

We email you an interactive preview of exactly what the engraving will look like, text placement included. Approve it, or ask for changes — cropping, wording, swapping photos — as many rounds as it takes. Nothing is engraved until you say it’s perfect.

Day 2–4

4. Laser Engraving, Point by Point

Your approved design goes to the engraving bay, where a precision laser writes up to 400,000 points per cubic inch inside the K9 crystal. Small crystals take under an hour; a 3XL or Prestige masterpiece can take over a day. The surface remains untouched the entire time.

Day 3–5

5. QC, Polishing & Shipping

Every crystal is inspected against your approved proof under studio lighting, then hand-polished and wrapped in gift-ready packaging — a padded gift box with a ribbon and a card with your engraved message. You’ll get a tracking number the moment it leaves our studio.

The approval promise

Most custom engraving shops won’t show you a thing until it ships. We refuse to engrave until you’ve approved a free 3D proof — because the moment deserves to be exactly right. Ready to begin?
